All patients in two groups were received a pulmonary rehabilitation educational course. Then, the chinese traditional group exercised with Da Yan Liu Zhi Jue and Nei Yang Zhu Ji Gong. The modern group exercised with Breath Gymnastics. All patients were examined for dyspnea, pulmonary function and 6 minute walking distance before and after treatment. RESULT: Both group showed good effective on dyspnea and 6 min walking distance. In the chinese traditional group, the pulmonary function tests were significantly improved after treatment. But in the modern group, there were no significantly difference after treatment. CONCLUSION: The research results suggested that both Chinese traditional and modern rehabilitation can improve the dyspnea and exercise tolerance. The Chinese traditional rehabilitation can also improve the pulmonary function test in COPD patients. It appears that Chinese traditional rehabilitation is a good method for the COPD patients with stable stage.
