AIM: To study the effect of the home-based rehabilitation nursing intervention on motor function of patients with stroke. METHODS: 60 stroke patients in community were divided into intervention group and control group randomly. Nursing intervention had been undertaken according to the "home-based rehabilitation nursing intervention project" by community nurses who had got special training. Motor function was evaluated 1 month and 3 months afterwards. RESULTS: Motor functional, Brunnstrom functional evaluation showed that both intervention group and contrast group had improvement, however, there were no statistical difference between two groups except the limb function. The improvement of Simplified Fugl-Meyer motor functional evaluation presented significant statistical difference between two groups during the study. CONCLUSION: Home-based rehabilitation nursing intervention was helpful to improve motor function in patients with stroke.
