OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical effect of physical therapy in the recovery treatment of the hypertension. METHOD: 156 cases hypertension patients (phase I hypertension 84 case, phase II 52 cases) were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group (n = 70) were treated by drugs and physical therapy, the control group were treated only by drugs. Blood pressure (Bp), drugs-used situation were measured before treatment and 2 months, 4 months and 6 months after treatment, all patients were followed up for two years. RESULTS: Average systolic blood pressure, average diastolic blood pressure in treatment group were obviously lower than that in control group (p < 0.05). The rate of withdrawal and decrease drugs obviously higher than control group (p < 0.01); the incidence of complication were significantly lower than control group (p < 0.01). CONCLUSION: We can achieve the obviously effect by the physical therapy add drugs to control blood pressure, improve syndromes, decrease drug and complication than control group.
