OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of spastic cerebral palsy treatments with accupuncture therapy and Shangtian method. METHODS: Sixty-seven patients with spastic cerebral palsy were divided into two groups. Forty-one patients of the trial group was treated with accupuncture therapy and Shangtian method, twenty-six patients of the control group was treated with Shangtian method. Effects was evaluated by Maruofei method. RESULTS: After ninety days, The total effective rate of the two groups was respectively 95.12% and 73.08%. There was clear difference between the two groups (Chi2 = 4.89, p < 0.05). The trial group was better than the control group (t = 2.15, p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: It has positive effect that accupuncture therapy and Shangtian method treat spastic cerebral palsy.
