OBJECTIVE: To observe the therapeutic effect of the treatment of 34 cases of cervical spondylosis with spine-massage therapy. METHOD: 68 patients with cervical spondylosis were randomly divided into two groups: 34 cases were received the treatment of spine-massage therapy combined with conventional physiotherapy. Other 34 cases as a control group were only treated with conventional physiotherapy. RESULT: After 20 times of treatment, the effective and clinical cure rates of treatment group was respectively 94.1% and 70.6% compared with the 76.4% and 23.5% of control group, with significant difference (p < 0.05). At the same time, there were significant differences, treatment group compared with the control group (p < 0.05 or 0.01), on the symptoms and signs disappeared time, and treatment times. CONCLUSION: The study suggests that spine-massage therapy has a good effects for patients with cervical spondylosis.
