The Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), is the vestibular peripheral clutter more common than cause vertigo. Today in way it has as many alternative methods for cure of illnesses, appeared the interest in verifying the effectiveness of the vestibular rehabilitation in these patients. The objectives had been, to establish a protocol of specific exercises for BPPV cases; to use a validated questionnaire to evidence the evolution of the treatment and finally, to compare the results between the groups of treatment. To materialize this study, an almost-experimental research was used, being randomly selected eight patients with average age of 38 years (+/- 8,3), that they had been subdivided in group has controlled, composition for patients that used only medicaments; and experimental group consisting by patients submitted to the vestibular rehabilitation, two times per week during five weeks. The vestibular rehabilitation was composed for maneuvers of Semont and Epley both for the side that the patient related symptomatology, more domiciliary exercises of modified Brandt-Daroff and Cawthorne and Cooksey. Of the used instruments of measure in the evaluation protocol, it was verified that the maneuver of Hallpike-DIX and the questionnaire of Shepard et al (1990 apud HERDMAN, 2002) (1) had been most sensible to point alterations before and after test. Although the study it has included a small sample, the results how much the presence of nystagmus and/or vertigo, of the experimental group, demonstrated remission, in the majority of the cases, when compared with the group it has controlled. How much the self valuation, the patients of the experimental group had better presented reply to the end of the treatment, when comparing the descriptions of its symptomatologys with the beginning and end end of the treatment.
