120 cases of acute lumbago were treated using the double blind control technique and the patients were then observed for one year afterwards. In evaluating the results the following parameters were considered; pain, analgesic vertebral deviation, functional limitation. In our results are confirmed by further research, laser therapy may be widely adopted as an elective treatment in cases of acute lumbago.
