INTRODUCTION: The number of patients, who due to generative changes in cox joints undergo the surgery of joints endoprosthesis, is gradually increasing. After the surgery the rehabilitation is necessary. One of the factors used in the process of rehabilitation is magnetic field therapy. MATERIAL AND METHODS: In prospective, randomized work with the application of double blind trial rule, the authors analyze the influence of magnetic field therapy on the hospital rehabilitation results in 89 patients after cox joint endoprosthesis. The measurements comprise the lengthening of gait (walking) distance within 6 minutes (6MWT) as well as the measurement of efficiency done by WOMAC indicator. The basis of treatment is kinesthetic therapy assisted by physiotherapy treatment and pharmacology when necessary. The time of rehabilitation was 21 days. CONCLUSION: The application of magnetic field therapy and magnetic stimulation in the program of complex rehabilitation of patients after cox joint endoprosthesis has no significant influence on the increase of gait distance. The application of magnetic stimulation (esp the kind of field generated by the device Viosfor JPS) as one of the element of the complex rehabilitation of patients after cox joint endoprosthesis improves the results of rehabilitation measured by WOMAC indicator. The difference maybe come out of magnetic field has bearing on the feeling of comfort and pain.
