Although damage to the lateral ligament resulting from supination trauma and its treatment have been the subject of many studies, surgical treatment has generally been compared with walking-cast immobilisation. Few studies refer to treatment with supportive bandaging and similar "soft" types of bandaging. The aim of this prospective study was to compare two conservative therapeutic methods. Walking-cast immobilisation and pronating supportive bandaging.
