The controlled study of comparative effectiveness of magnetic stimulation, infrared pulsed laser therapy, niacin electrophoresis by sinusoidal modulated current and ultrasound was conducted for 109 patients with flaccid pareses caused by nerve or spinal root compression. The patients were randomly assigned to 4 treatment groups (control group was exposed to laser imitation). The results obtained favour magnetic stimulation and laser as analgetics and reducers of motor deficiency. The benefit from the use of niacin electrophoresis was not proved in this study.
