60 patients with a 'therapy-resistant' epicondylopathia humeri were treated in two randomized groups. In group 1 the interferential current therapy was carried out, and in group 2 the combined therapy with four-cell bathes and ascending arm-bathes was performed. Criteria of inclusion, control and clinical assessment were prospectively defined. All the functional-clinical parameters which characterizes the course of disease were registered during the course of therapy and statistically analysed. The results show a statistically significant superiority of the combined therapy compared with the mono-therapy with interferential currents. It also demonstrates an efficient total result of this concept of treatment. Therefore it must be recommended in cases of epicondylopathia humeri. The pathogenetic influences of this combined therapy are discussed in comparison with different results in the literature.
