102 patients with complex knee-instabilities underwent different physico-medical concepts of therapy in 4 randomized study groups. The differences existed on the one hand in a combined therapy resp. an exercise mono-therapy and on the other hand in a continuous frequency of treatment resp. the organization of intervals. Besides testing the homogeneity of the starting criteria all the functional parameters of the early rehabilitation were collected during the course of treatment as well as the final findings after one year. Comparing all the 4 groups the gained data were statistically analysed. The results proved both a superior influence of the combined therapy on the stability and a superior influence of the organization of intervals on the functional regeneration. This concept of treatment leads to economize the therapy and to optimize the result of treatment simultaneously, so that its indication is to favour in the early rehabilitation of knee-instabilities.
