By significant increase of the impedance-plethysmographically determined arterial blood supply and the foot-ergometric functional capacity of patients with peripheral arterial obstructive disease stage II the effectiveness of a complex spa-therapy could be proved. In a randomised comparison better results were yielded with a therapeutic variant which contained CO2-mineral baths, CO2-gas baths of the legs, massages of reflex zones and an aimed training of the muscular vessels, in contrast to the alternative variant with sauna, training of the muscular vessels and walking exercises.
