In this article the results are presented of an experimental study, performed with 12 hemiparetic subjects. The purpose of the study was to compare the use of artificial sensory feedback (EMG feedback) in the re-learning of motor control with the use of a conventional physical therapeutical technique (NDT). The results indicated a main difference between the two methods on the electromyographic level but not on other more functional levels. The implications of the results for the use of EMG feedback in neuromuscular rehabilitation are discussed.
