OBJECTIVE: To establish the characteristics and the efficacy of the therapeutic interventions that are carried out on the fatigue of adults with cancer in the treatment phase. METHODOLOGY: A systematic review was carried out, following the methodology of the Cochrane Manual of systematic reviews of discontinuation. RESULTS: Adult cancer patients undergoing treatment show improvements in fatigue in all included studies and seven of these reported these improvements as statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS: Interventions based on resistance exercises and aerobic exercises have been shown to be adequate to reduce the fatigue in adult cancer patients.
