Source: International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine 2023 Dec;50:100688
Method: systematic review
Method Score: This is a systematic review. Systematic reviews are not rated.
Consumer Summary: HIGHLIGHTS: For pain intensity, spinal manipulation combined with shoulder exercises may be beneficial in two to six weeks. The association of spinal manipulation and shoulder exercises could also improve disability within 6 weeks of treatment. Spinal manipulation can be associated with exercise therapy for shoulder pain and disability in initial treatment phase. These results should be interpreted with caution because the evidence quality level is not adequate for data generalization.
